ENJJOIN Jersey Swap: Episode 9 with Kay-Lee de Sanders

For the 9th episode of our Jersey Swap format, we wanted to do something special: Our first female athlete on the show, Kay-Lee de Sanders. After growing up in Reigersbos (Amsterdam) and spending her childhood years there, she was picked up the Ajax Women Team in 2017 and even made her national team debut in 2018. After 8 eventful years in Amsterdam, she recently announced her transfer to Italian giant AC Milan.

We sat down with her to discuss what being the only girl on the football field meant, the challenges she faced and what shaped her into the player she is today. Personally, this was a very meaningful episode for us. As die-hard football fans, we want to cover and embrace all perspectives in football, including the female one, too. We are incredibly glad to be able to hear more stories and enter more conversations with this format.

Kay-Lee gave us her match-worn Women Champions League jersey from their match against Paris Saint Germain (what an honour, thank you!!!). In return we hooked her up with one of our favorites, the Echo Longsleeve.
